MULUNGI COLLECTION

The Mulungi Collection is a collaborative partnership between the S.O.U.L. Foundation and Ugandan women. S.O.U.L. teaches these women the skills to craft these products, provide business training, financial literacy courses, along with initial seed grants to groups of women with strong business proposals.

The fashion line includes Mulungi beaded bags, beaded jewelry, headbands and woven African baskets. Each piece is created with the intention of uniting sisterhood and feminine energy among women across the globe. All Mulungi purchases directly support the dignified entrepreneurial efforts of Ugandan women, where they invest the money into their families for better food security, providing funds for their children to attend school, thus empowering Ugandans to break the cycle of poverty.

WHAT DOES MULUNGI MEAN?

The word "Mulungi" means "beautiful" in the local Lusoga language.

WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED?

All Mulungi products are handmade with all natural and/or recycled materials. Recycled magazines and posters, traditional African fabric, and natural fibers are just a few of examples of the materials used in making Mulungi products.

Recycled materials vary, so please understand that there may be some color variations on each product. For example, a white handbag might not be entirely white.
