Made two dreams come true for S.O.U.L. Assistant Volunteer Coordinator Safa Lwabaga

In May 2011 S.O.U.L. board members, Brooke Stern and Danielle Young surprised Safa with the news that he will become S.O.U.L.'s next sponsored University student. They took him to dinner at a fine restaurant in the capitol city of Uganda after spending the day visiting potential Universities. During the dinner Safa spotted Uganda's top professional soccer player (David Oboa), Safa's hero. Brooke and Danielle introduced themselves to the player and asked if he wouldn't mind talking to Safa. After a fabulous 15 minute conversation, David Oboa invited Safa to spend an entire day with the Ugandan Crane team! What Safa did not expect was that he would not only meet the entire Ugandan Crane professional soccer team, he would also accompany the players in the team bus to the national stadium to watch a match in the Executive box with the country's Vice President! David and Safa's friendship has continued to develop and the two of them plan to spend time together when Safa moves to the city for University in the fall. DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE!
